There is an old saying that we learn something new every day. Here at Rusthall Lodge, we believe that to be true - we never stop learning.
All our staff have opportunities throughout their career with us to refresh their knowledge as well as opportunities to learn new skills, continuing their personal and professional development.
We also actively encourage staff to review their performance and develop their role at Rusthall Lodge. We enable this through a comprehensive supervision programme and self-appraisal system which contributes to their Performance Development Plan. Nothing pleases us more than seeing staff exceed their own expectations by successfully completing externally accredited qualifications.
Personal development options which are readily available to all staff include:
- Health & Social Care qualifications to level 2 and 3
- Annual mandatory topics that include Fire Awareness, Health & Safety, MCADoLs
- Level 2 funded training that includes Team Leading, Medication Management for RGN's only)
- 'Train the Trainer' Moving & Assisting
- The Care Certificate
- Dementia Awareness
- External specialist training with Hospice in the Weald.
Our induction programme is robust and we actively support all new members of staff who are new into health and social care to complete their Care Certificate in line with the Care Act 2015, fully supported by the senior members of staff at Rusthall Lodge.
All training and learning styles are catered for with full support given to every member of staff.
