Our Charitable Ethos
Rusthall Lodge Housing Association Ltd was established in 1968 thanks to the generosity of Miss Fremlin of Fremlins Brewery and the kindness and hard work of a number of local benefactors and supporters. Rusthall Lodge is a Registered Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 - 17413R
Over the years the Association, which is an exempt charity, has evolved into a unique and much valued care and nursing home within quiet and pleasant gardens in the village of Rusthall. In 2007 the home was moved from its original Edwardian house to a new, spacious, purpose-built and fully accessible building in the grounds.
Rusthall Lodge has a dedicated Executive Committee of volunteers drawn from the local community in and around Tunbridge Wells who embrace a wide range of professional experience and qualifications.
The Friends of Rusthall Lodge are volunteers who play an important role at the Home. Their involvement in our larger events helps us raise additional funds which help to provide additional facilities for the benefit of residents.
As a charitable organisation, the majority of surplus funds from the Lodge are reinvested for the benefit of our residents and to ensure staff members have the equipment, training and resources they need to provide the best possible service.
Over the years, these contributions have enabled us to introduce Sky TV to all rooms and provide global WiFi access throughout the Lodge.
This reinvestment of funds into the fabric and daily life at Rusthall Lodge helps us to provide a comfortable, welcoming and safe home for our residents and a pleasant place for families and friends to visit and for our staff to work in.
